All comments on this blog are approved by me prior to posting. I do expect that all commenters be civil and respectful. If I do not feel that a comment is in keeping with the tenor or intent of this blog, I will not approve it.
I appreciate that a lot of desperate and sleep deprived parents come to this blog, frequently late at night, for help with their child’s sleep difficulties. I started this site with the goal of providing easily accessible and evidence-based guidance for parents. I have made an effort to provide general advice for parents and caregivers. Unfortunately, I cannot provide specific medical advice for parents and will not publish comments asking for specific advice. Thus, please do not make long, detailed comments about your child’s difficulties here. Rather, write out your concerns and share them with your pediatrician; this is always a good strategy for getting the most out of your doctor’s visit.
Due to the volume of comments I receive (and my inability to keep up with them), I have now limited comments to 30 days after a post is published. Note that comments must be germane to the subject of the post. Thus, if I write about teenage sleep issues, I will not approve sleep training questions/comments.
Thanks for your patience and understanding. Best of luck.
