The Sleep Edit #18: Your questions, answered
This week we opened the mailbag. You sent in a lot of questions, so Craig and Arielle grouped them by theme and worked through them in order: infant sleep and the baby who "can't" lie flat, whether to wean the SNOO and the night feed at the same time, inconsistent night wakings on an identical schedule, the right order for night weaning versus room transition versus sleep training, 4 AM wake-ups in toddlers and infants, a 30-month-old who fights bedtime but naps easily, the classic "I had a bad dream" that somehow isn't scary, managing toddler sleep through a cold, floor beds, containing a 2-year-old who won't stay put, and whether there's any real evidence that outdoor naps at daycare actually help. Plus a rapid-fire round on crib-to-bed transitions, SNOO versus traditional bassinets, and whether you have to sleep train at all (short answer: no).
